Demi Tekin
Demi is the co-founder and lead instructor at Zaya. Originally from Turkey, she moved to Boston to study English Literature. While in school, she worked as a personal trainer at various gyms. After earning her bachelor's degree, Demi worked at the Mayor's Office for Immigrant Advancement but quickly realized desk job wasn't for her. Demi started to join her sister's online mat Pilates classes and instantly fell in love with how good she felt after each session. She moved to Southern California to pursue a career in Pilates. Teaching full-time for three years in the region, she started developing her athletic Reformer style, strongly influenced by the fitness culture in California. Over the years, Demi has taught in London, Berlin, and Turkey. Now based in Berlin, she is excited to share her dynamic reformer method with the Zaya community. Fun Fact: In her free time, Demi trains and competes in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, she really appreciates the challenge and discipline of martial arts.
Donna Mitchell
Donna is a certified pilates mat and STOTT Reformer Instructor with a professional background in dance and aerial arts. Her teaching style is calm, supportive, and detail-focused, with a deep appreciation for foundations and the power of simple, well-executed movement. She emphasizes alignment, core stability, strength, and body awareness, helping students build confidence and move with ease. Originally from the UK, her classes are in English but on a good day a bit of German!
Dylan Simonsen
Dylan comes from Durango, Colorado in the U.S. He is a Certified Reformer Pilates Instructor and former college soccer player. His classes are mindful and athletic—aiming for the proper dose of challenge. He likes to focus on good form and a full-body workout. Outside the studio, you're likely to find him creating crossword puzzles or out for a cold swim. He is a native English speaker and is working on learning German!
Fernanda Morales
Fernanda is a certified Reformer Pilates trainer and is currently continuing her education with additional certifications to grow as an instructor. She teaches in English, German, and Spanish, and supports all levels—from absolute beginners to advanced practitioners. Fernanda discovered her love for Pilates through her own movement journey and is passionate about helping others feel stronger, more mobile, and truly at home in their bodies. She brings creativity, motivation, and care to each class, and nothing makes her happier than seeing her clients smile and grow stronger with every session.
Joy Ewulu
Joy Ewulu brings grace, control, and intensity to the reformer, with over two years of experience as a reformer Pilates trainer. Rooted in dance and gymnastics, and shaped by musical theater and Lagree, her classes are refined and motivating, pushing limits while cultivating calm and focus. Each workout invites you to move with intention—and feel the joy in your body. Classes are taught in English but Joy can teach in German as well.
Katja Kotnik
Originally from Slovenia, Katja moved to Berlin to complete her bachelor's degree, bringing with her a lifelong connection to movement shaped by years of gymnastics from a young age. With certifications both in barre and reformer pilates combined with passion for mindful movement, she emphasizes alignment, control, and form in every class. Katja creates sessions that are challenging yet accessible to every body. Her goal is to help clients move with precision, build lasting strength, test their focus and enjoy the process along the way. Fun fact: She has traveled to 27 countries and cocker spaniel Sunny is her everything
Maia Joseph
Maia Joseph is a professional dancer and certified Pilates instructor from Toronto, Canada. Her background in movement has given her a deeper understanding of the body, allowing her to offer specific cues to ensure that those who take her classes leave feeling more connected to themselves both in and out of the studio. She's passionate about using musicality to enrich the experience of those who train with her. Don't be surprised if she syncs changes in the exercise with the beat of the music! She adapts her energy throughout each class, so you can expect to be uplifted with exercises that challenge and strengthen both the body, and the mind. Fun fact: She is known by her students for killing them with kindness and a smile.
Margarita Pantzali
Margarita is a Comprehensive Pilates Instructor and a practicing Physiotherapist, blending contemporary Pilates with strong classical foundations. She has a wide background in dance and acrobatics. Originally from Greece, her teaching style is dynamic, precise, delivered with focused coaching and fun, flowing energy. Expect full-body strength, control, and body awareness — she'll make you work harder than you realize. Fun fact: she does pole dance and has a habit of climbing in questionable places. For now she speaks English, Greek and German.
Nick M.
Nick is a STOTT trained Reformer Pilates instructor with a performance-based approach to movement. His work focuses on developing strength, control, and mobility that translate beyond the studio, supporting resilience and performance in everyday life and sport. He fell in love with Pilates during his own knee rehabilitation, where it became a key tool for rebuilding strength and re-engineering his body for long-term durability. His form-focused classes are targeted and challenging, emphasizing deep core engagement, full-body strength, and intentional movement to build functional bodies that support aesthetics, performance, and longevity. Nick trains hard for rugby Saturdays, surf trips, and the techno dance floor, with a long-term goal of running wellness retreats somewhere close to the beach. Originally from South Africa, speaks English and little bit German for now.
Patrick Hartel
Patrick is a Reformer and Mat Pilates instructor with a background in yoga and a deep passion for mindful movement. His teaching is rooted in the connection between breath, movement, and awareness, creating classes that are both physically challenging and mentally grounding. Patrick's style is strong, attentive, and intentionally demanding. He enjoys guiding students to their edges while maintaining a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where everyone feels seen. With clear cues, thoughtful sequencing, and inclusive language, he adapts his classes to meet each participant where they are. Known for his humor and warm presence, Patrick balances lightness with discipline — loving and encouraging, yet sometimes playfully strict. He teaches in both English and German and is dedicated to creating empowering movement experiences that build strength, confidence, and presence on and off the reformer.

Sena is a Comprehensive Pilates instructor certified by Balanced Body and the Turkish Gymnastics Federation.She loves one thing more than a perfect teaser - watching people discover what their bodies are truly capable of. Toni Lynn Arzu
Toni Lynn, a born and raised Southern California native, is a Pilates instructor and movement professional with six years of experience teaching in luxury studio environments. Her background in movement includes strength training, mobility, and athletic reformer Pilates, with a strong emphasis on performance-based training and intelligent sequencing. Toni's teaching style is dynamic, precise, and empowering, blending technical alignment with athletic conditioning. She is known for creating challenging, well-structured classes that build strength, stability, and body awareness while remaining accessible and adaptable to all levels. Her sessions focus on developing resilient, functional bodies through intentional, high-performance movement. Valentina Mancini
Valentina is a Pilates and Barre instructor based in Berlin with a 500-hour comprehensive Pilates education covering mat work, Reformer, Chair, and all major Pilates apparatus. Her teaching focuses on precision, mindful movement, and strong technical foundations. With several years of international teaching experience, she creates classes that are challenging yet accessible, emphasizing proper alignment, controlled strength, and fluid movement. Valentina believes Pilates is a powerful practice for building strength, mobility, and body awareness that carries into everyday life. She speaks English, Spanish and little bit German.
Valeria Salvetti
Val is a certified Pilates, Yoga and Indoor Cycling instructor from Colombia and Belgium. Movement has always been an anchor to be present in her body and sharing it with others only amplifies this feeling. Teaching yoga since 2022 as a hobby, she is now fully committed to empowering people into embodying their most authentic selves through movement. Her varied background give her a holistic understanding of what the body goes through during effort. Challenging, her classes prioritise flow and functionality over extravaganza, while her precise and efficient cueing supports the mind-muscle connection. Through music, breath and mindfulness, she creates a safe and playful space to practice. She speaks 6 languages and is well versed in meme culture. Dad jokes will be inevitable.
Aimee Plint
Aimee is from Australia, where she completed her Reformer and Mat certifications. She is a dancer, which inspired her journey into the Pilates world after using Pilates to help prevent injuries. Her background in Reformer Pilates follows a more modern approach. At the first studio she worked at, she trained in a dynamic, almost HIIT-style method, which continues to influence her teaching today.Her classes are dynamic, fun, and focused on good control and posture. She enjoys pushing clients while always prioritizing making workouts enjoyable, especially for those who may find exercise feels like a chore. Fun fact: Aimee loves to travel and is currently working on exploring as much of Europe as possible — and she absolutely loves the snow! She speaks English and German fluently.
Ana Rettig
Ana is a passionate comprehensive Pilates instructor with a deep love for movement and holistic wellness. She is fusing traditional Pilates methods with dynamic, contemporary techniques to create classes that are strong, fluid, and energising. Her classes focus on building strength, mobility, and a deep body–mind-connection. Every session is carefully designed for each level and individual needs. Originally from Spain, with a background in gymnastics, Carmen is a certified Pilates instructor who brings structure and intention to every class. She speaks Spanish, English, and German, and alongside her full-time corporate career, she teaches with a strong focus on precision and control. Her classes are structured and challenging, with clear, precise cues. She smiles a lot! :)
Cristiana Angelescu
Cristiana Angelescu is a former professional dancer and Pilates instructor redefining what movement training can be. Her approach goes beyond Pilates and beyond mobility. She trains the body through rhythm, rotation, deep muscle activation, and musical flow to develop coordination, control, and true freedom of movement. Music is an essential part of her method — not as atmosphere, but as a tool that sharpens timing, awareness, and connection between mind and body. Jill is a certified reformer trainer with a background in personal training and over two years of teaching experience. She creates classes that combine strength, flexibility, and core stability, often incorporating lower body exercises to keep the practice dynamic and empowering. Her focus is on helping clients move their bodies, feel strong, and consistently show up for themselves on the reformer. She speaks German and English.
Lara Fleischmann
Sport has always been Lara's way of staying balanced, especially when life gets noisy. She fell in love with Pilates in 2020 and completed her first teacher training in 2024 since sharing is her favorite thing. When she's not teaching, you'll probably find her running, cycling or working out with friends. In her classes, she focuses on mindful movement, connection of body and mind, strength, encouragement and a good feeling in your body and movements. She speaks German and English.
